It’s been a busy couple of weeks, as you all know, with the siro storm season well and truly underway! Hopefully you and all your Seedlings have survived safely!

The Numbers

  • 5 new societies have been created - check them out and see which offers the most potential!

  • 37 players have already migrated (or started) on the new exciting island of Hy-Brasil!

  • 472 hours of total playtime in the last week (22nd - 02nd)

The Dev Voice

Exciting developments are to be expected when choosing your starting location!

“Society positions are no longer predefined! Now, society founders will need to choose where to create their societies strategically. They will need to take into account the availability of resources and the distance to neighbouring societies to ensure sustainable progress.”  — Klang Dev, Ivan

The Forge

We can’t say too much, but the Art Department has been extremely busy, across the globe, cooking up some truly exciting and mindblowing stuff. Watch this place. Meanwhile, we have some of that to show as a sneak peek below. Yes, we’ve got entropy and dirt!

Avesta Archive

This week there was a lore entry on the historical period of terraforming, giving some background on the Pioneers, Frontiers Engineering and the long and winding backstory to how we got to Avesta:

Seed Industries started the Pioneers programme, which were experimental and precarious missions to fix and maintain the MX technology. Until this moment, Avesta existed primarily as an abstraction: spectral surveys, atmospheric simulations, fungal risk models – all compiled by Seed Industries and executed through their engineering arm, Frontiers Engineering. These Pioneers led brutal lives for the most part. They often landed on Eilo, an island in the archipelago that bears its name off the shoulder of Verdantis. Here over the course of centuries, the best lands were honed and secured by these courageous first podsters. They're revered, after all, for a reason!

Please do get in touch with us if you want to appear in next week’s Orbital - or if you have ideas or wish to feature your society. Exciting times are here!
