Seed 0.3.4 Patch Notes

Release Date 07.09.2026

Dear Cultivators!

Below you will find our latest Patch Notes: we are working hard to ensure your experience of SEED is as good as possible! (Patch releasing September 8th)

Scheduler and Schedule Status

  • A schedule block that can't do any of its priorities now shows a status badge: yellow when the Seedling found something else to do, red when it needs your help. Hovering over it lists each priority with the reason it isn't happening, for example "no Pumpkin fields".

Seedling Autonomy

  • A Seedling whose player has been away for more than three real-time days now looks for a job on its own, if it has none.

Seedling Chat and Interactions

  • You can see when your Seedling is in an interaction now with a small status bubble over its portrait (“...”).

  • Fix: Switching Seedlings while the Seedling Chat window is open now updates the header name immediately, on desktop and mobile.

Toxicity

  • Fix: Improvements to toxicity text validation. Please report if you see a name or text being incorrectly blocked (or allowed). This will help us improve the system.

Seedling Health and Services

  • The duplicate "Bandage" schematic that treated nothing is gone. Any of those bandages you owned turned into the working Bandage, which also takes less storage space (0.2 per unit, was 0.5).

  • Fix: Asking a Duck Delivery Drone for treatment no longer breaks the menu. Drones no longer offer to act as doctors.

  • Fix: A Seedling with a "Seek Treatment" priority only heads to a clinic when it actually has a matching treatable ailment, and the schedule status explains it otherwise ("no [Ailment] to treat" or "no [Ailment] remedy available").

  • Fix: A Seedling whose need is already satisfied no longer walks to a service venue, pays, and gets turned away. It skips that priority up front.

Trees and Saplings

  • Trees can yield seeds during harvest activities.

  • Harvested trees no longer grow back on their own. Planting a seed on the ground is needed in order for this to happen.

  • A sapling that can't grow because something is blocking its spot shows a warning icon in the world. Hovering it reads "Cannot Grow" / "Something is blocking this spot. Clear it so the tree can grow."

Mining and Ore

  • Fix: Ore and deposit descriptions now match what processing actually yields, instead of falsely claiming rare additional drops.

  • Fix: The Object Catalogue now shows ores, stone, clay, and coal as gathered or extracted from the world instead of "Not found in nature", with a separate "Extraction recipe" section for machine-extracted materials.

Rare Ores

  • Furniture production requires less rare ore.

  • Repair never requires materials with rare ores as ingredients.

Market and Trade

  • In the Pollen Exchange, a buy offer for Pollen can now be priced up to 1,000,000,000 SeedCoin, up from 999,999.

  • Fix: An order from another society that fails now tells you what actually stopped it, instead of always saying nobody collected the goods.

  • Fix: If you paid an entry fee for a service visit that never happened (check-in failed, or you never arrived within the 30 in-game-minute window), the fee is now refunded automatically.

  • Fix: Old cross-society auto-sell orders used to proactively move items to the spaceport even before they were bought. These will be phased out. We’re not sending any more fresh items and once fully drained the sell order will be removed. You can create new auto-sell orders that will ship directly from your building’s outbox. Any auto-sell orders created recently are not affected.

Storage and Production

  • Storage capacities were rebalanced based on the physical space they take in the world: Bulk platforms hold more (the Large Storage Platform rises from 1,800 to 2,730) and The Frontiers Expedition Container rises from 1,000 to 1,630 and is now craftable. While furniture based storage like shelves hold much less (for example the Fancy Storage Shelf drops from 500 to 70), while already placed containers keep their old capacity.

  • Newly placed containers now start with sensible resource requests: wardrobes request clothing, nightstands request medicine, bookshelves request books, etc..

  • The delivery Inbox starts requesting nothing instead of everything. You can still change or clear these and already-placed containers are unaffected.

  • Fix: A machine's "Do until X are in storage" limit and storage conditions now count only stock in the machine's own building (or the plot's outdoor storage for outdoor machines).

  • Fix: Trying to queue a haul while your Seedling's hands are full now correctly says "Hands are full".

  • Fix: Containers with unlimited capacity no longer show a negative number as their capacity.

Societies, Groups and Plots

  • New plots get generated names like "Serene Meadow" instead of "Plot" or "<Owner>'s Plot", so property lists no longer show rows of identical names. Existing plots keep their names.

  • When your society seizes a plot or building you own, you now get a "Property Seized" notification with a link to the property.

  • Policies can now be configured so that they can be fulfilled multiple times by the same organization.

  • Fix: When registering an election candidate fails, the message now states the actual reason (for example "The vote is no longer open.") instead of a generic failure.

  • Fix: The Society Roles list on the Constitution tab now scrolls inside its card instead of overflowing when a charter has many roles.

  • Fix: Splitting a plot along a line that would cut through a building is now blocked up front with "Split plots cannot cut through a building", instead of silently failing.

  • Fix: Merging two plots no longer deletes schedule events, routines, or shifts that pointed at the absorbed plot.

Building and Placement

  • The UI for Build Mode has been updated. Building and Outdoor blocks are now under one category with brand new icons, and together with an easy to use building material picker. The interior Rooms, Doors, and Elevators categories have also been merged into one "Room Layout" category.

  • Fix: When construction is blocked by objects in the way, the "Building Design Conflicts" dialog now lists every blocking object by name with a button that jumps the camera to it.

  • Fix: If placing an item fails right as its construction placeholder spawns, the item is available again immediately instead of staying stuck as reserved for about 7 real hours.

  • Fix: A harvestable spot (for example a mushroom) that keeps failing to respawn because something blocks it now retries much faster.

Notifications and Announcements

  • An important announcements banner from the SEED team can now appear at the top of the screen.

  • It is possible to mute notification categories straight from notification itself by using the bell button.

SEED Companion App

  • Added a widget button in the main UI that opens objects catalogue on mobile, making it easier to access it.

Trial Invites

Selected players (This round is limited to 400 players.) can now invite one friend to their society with a free 3-day trial.

  • A one-time pop-up appears at login with the invite link. You can also find it any time under the share button in the top left.

  • When they register through your link, the 3-day trial starts automatically on their account.

  • They'll need to buy a package from the SEED Store after 3 days in order to keep playing. Their Seedlings keep living in their society and they can pick up where they left off.

Cultivator Level and Seedling Slots

  • Reaching level 7, 25, or 40 now grants a Seedling Slot item (Bronze at 7 and 25, Silver at 40) in your Cultivator Inventory instead of instantly starting a temporary slot's expiry clock. Activate it whenever you choose. The clock only starts then. Durations are unchanged.

  • Clicking a Seedling Slot item in the Cultivator Inventory asks for confirmation, then activates it and grants the extra Seedling slot immediately.

Interface

  • Fix: Three modal dialogs ("Employee Resigned", "Seedling Fired", "Employee Died") have been updated to dark mode. Also, a resignation notice no longer shows an empty "Reason" section, and dismissing one can no longer block further popups from appearing until the next login.

  • Fix: A Seedling can no longer end up with more than 3 interests. The server now enforces the cap, and the Focus Mode interest picker resets when you switch Seedlings so it can't apply to the wrong one.

  • Fix: The item-transfer confirmation popup no longer clips off the screen edges.

  • Fix: The Cultivator Level reward track now displays correctly in different resolutions.

  • Fix: The quantity stepper in the business Contract form no longer gets clipped at the panel edge.

  • Fix: Resolved a blank screen issue when opening app windows from special UI modes (e.g., Create Group from the Land Planner).

World Content

  • Stored basic resources (ores, raw clay, coal, stone, ingots, and more) now show as storage-box models in the world instead of the white tube model.

  • Crashed drones found in nature are now correctly named "AMU (Crashed)" instead of "Junk Drone", and inspecting it shows an updated description.

  • Synthetic clothing items that lost their crafting recipes can be crafted again at the Tailoring Bench, now with proper color schemes.
