SEED Patch Notes - Release 0.46
Release Date: [05/27/2025]
🌟 Summary
This update brings a plethora of bug fixes and some new updates and features like the Global Market and Room Sound Scoring!
🛠 Major Changes & New Features
Space Port
You can now build your very own Spaceport! It must be constructed using materials, and the build process is initiated through the Real Estate Market. Once built, the Spaceport unlocks communication between societies and enables global trade through the Global Market.
Global Market
You can now list sell orders on the Global Market, which means that players from all societies can view and purchase them!
Business owners can now create Sell Orders with two different visibility settings: Local or Global.
Local Sell Orders are only visible and available for purchase within the seller's own society.
Global Sell Orders are visible and purchasable across all societies and sectors, in addition to the seller's own.
New Seedling Creator
After choosing the sector, you will be greeted by our new Seedling Creator. The new creator provides you with a cleaner and more accessible interface through which you can customize your Seedling’s name and appearance. Optionally, you can create a randomized Seedling with the shuffle button.
The Rebular Process
Once you are satisfied with the name and appearance, you will be introduced to the Rebular Process, allowing you to implant false memories into your Seedling’s mind. Choose these memories wisely, as each one alters the Character Stats your Seedling starts with, providing advantages and disadvantages that may influence their daily life on Avesta.
Room Sound Scoring
Introducing audio ecology—a new system that tracks how loud and harmonious your room is based on the objects you place, like arcade machines, TVs, or industrial gear. Each item adds to your room’s unique sound score, and seedlings will actually react to it!
A calm, balanced score might inspire seedlings to relax, play, or focus.
Crank up the noise (from machines etc.) and you might see them get distracted, restless, or unhappy. They’ll even show new idle behaviors and share thoughts about the room's vibe.
Your design choices don’t just look cool, they sound cool too. Build spaces that feel alive, expressive, and full of surprises!
Society Policies
You can now create policies for your society!
In an Anarchy, every society member can propose new policies. Just open the Policy panel and click 'Draft New Law' to get started.
When creating a new policy, you need to select the legislator that will be proposing it, and customize the different “components” of the policy.
You can choose among a list of preconditions (e.g. a baby is born, a Seedling joins the society, etc.) and of outcomes (monetary or item-based compensation).
Once you've chosen the legislator and set the policy's components, give your law a name and hit 'Save' to open it up for voting.
If the policy passes, it’s added to your society’s active laws. You can delete it later from the same list—just start a new vote to remove it.
Alternatively, you can now define an execution limit for your policies. This means that once it gets fulfilled the number of times you set, it gets deleted.
Locked Societies
Some societies are now "locked societies", which can only be joined with the use of a password. This feature has been added, however, it will most likely not be used quite yet. Keep your eyes open for more updates on this feature in the future.
Direct Control Upgrades
We’re upgrading how your Seedlings interact with their surroundings through Direct Control! Our goal is to make actions more intuitive, menus simpler, and options more useful in the moment. Here’s what’s changing:
Cleaner Menus, Faster Actions When you click on a Seedling, object, or building, you’ll now see a cleaner, easier-to-read action list. Menus are flatter and more responsive, with clear icons and tooltips to explain why certain actions might not work or have a low success chance.
Better Seedling Commands
“Inspect” opens a details panel with information about the selected object.
“Go Here” is now easier to use.
Relationship actions are more accessible and easier to use.
Improved Building Interactions For buildings you own, you'll get direct options like:
Manage: Launch the Properties app, focused on that building.
Schedule Event: Open the scheduler right from the building.
Build Mode: Expand your existing structure.
🐞 Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements
Only private societies are labeled as "Private.”
Now, when you re-enter the game, you will restart where you left off, and you will not get stuck at the society selection window.
Issues with joining a society have been fixed.
Issues with accessing the scheduler through the mobile app have been fixed.
The infinite loop of Seedlings drinking and then using the toilet has been fixed.
When you migrate to a new society, go straight to that society, not the society selection screen.
Splitting the big initial plot shouldn’t cause buildings to be divided into different plots.
You can now enter into build mode for any building.
Issues with the game not being able to fully load have been fixed.
When buying something from another society, the expected delivery time is now calculated in IRL minutes or in-game hours.
Completed deliveries now disappear from the Deliveries List after 1 hour.
When Seedlings exercise alone, only one Seedling uses the exercise machine. When exercising with another Seedling, the Seedlings successfully exercise together.
Issues with the appearance of the notifications menu have been fixed.
Billboards can now be successfully placed in yard plots.
Seedlings are no longer getting stuck inside the campus building and can move freely.
Garden chairs can now be used by Seedlings.
Issues with Seedling activity animations have been fixed.
Issues with constitution changes not leading to ballots have been fixed.
Seedlings can interact with each other even if they live in different buildings.
Issues with policy laws have been fixed.
All trees can now be selected and interacted with.
When a seedling joins a society with a custom law defined as “WHEN a seedling joins this society THEN transfer money to wallet,” the seedling’s wallet UI updates correctly, displaying the updated seedcoin balance to the player.
Issues with delivery ducks have been fixed and they should now move smoothly without glitching.
🔮 Known Issues & Next Steps
Upcoming Features
Locked Societies – Locked Societies are invite-only communities where entry begins with a Kernel package, a special starter bundle that gives you a tiny base and some helpful resources in exchange for Pollen. To get in, you’ll need the right password, and only players with certain permissions can update or remove it.
Orbital Storage – This high-tech hub, locked in your Space Port, unlocks access to the Global Market, letting you buy and sell with other Unihavens, and gives you a secure place to store your most valuable items. It comes with a small Pollen upkeep cost, but in return you’ll help grow your society’s economy, support Seedling-to-Seedling trade, and prepare for future migrations across the stars.
