Seedlings vs. Seedling Slots
Two simple ideas:
A Seedling Slot is where your Seedling “lives”. Having a slot, allows you to keep playing SEED with a unique Seedling
A Seedling is your in-game character, the life you guide on Avesta.

Seedlings Live, and Die - But You’ll Always Have One!
Life on Avesta is real and relatable, and that includes mortality. A Seedling has a natural lifespan of about three months, and can die sooner through sickness or injury. Death isn’t a bug or a game-over screen: it’s part of what makes SEED feel alive.
Play Well & Play Fair - And You’ll Always Be Awarded With A Seedling
Here’s the key part we want to hammer home: when your original pre-sale Seedling dies, you get a free replacement. Every time (Fair Play is something we will insist on here - the goal of SEED is to guide your Seedling to their best possible life, not say, consistently killing them for fun!). This way, you should never be locked out and never charged to keep playing. (Note: this free replacement applies to your initial Seedling only. If you choose to buy additional Seedlings later and they die, they aren’t replaced.)

Your starter Seedling is replaced free of charge every time it dies. You keep playing, no extra cost as long as you don't break the game rules.
Does that free replacement cover extra Seedlings I buy?
No, the free replacement is for your starter Seedling only. Additional Seedlings you purchase aren’t replaced if they die.
Will there ever be a subscription?
The base game is a one-time purchase, and playing SEED doesn’t require a subscription. Down the line, we may offer an optional subscription for players who want extras like additional Seedlings or slots.
