Release Date 07.01.2026
What began as a protest has become something far more dangerous.
In Foundations Directive 004, Cultivators were forced to take sides in an escalating conflict. While Quito Foods struggled to maintain the MX Terraforming network on Island Obscura, the outlawed group Axiom promised disruption through their so-called Operation Soupstorm.
The Truth Behind Soupstorm
The UNN now reports that Operation Soupstorm was never the real objective. In fact, the protest was a diversion.
During the chaos on Island Obscura, Axiom operatives infiltrated The Facility and extracted a critical dataset, one secretly implanted within a Seedling’s Covital and tied to the very heart of the Deployment itself. Seed Industries has since revealed that The Facility was never merely a holding site, but a vast sensor array designed to continuously collect cognitive data through Seedling Covital implants.
Seed Industries has accused Axiom of violating the MXT accords and damaging critical terraforming infrastructure. Axiom, for their part, claims the data belongs to the people of Avesta.
Event Exclusive: The Deployment Data Terminal
During this challenge, a new event-exclusive machine enters circulation: The Deployment Data Terminal
Originally an internal Seed Industries stabilisation node, this machine has been released to the public following repeated Axiom interference. It allows Seedlings to generate and consume Deployment Data Logs, sending cognitive patterns back into the Ether and strengthening the predictive systems that govern future Deployments.
Using the Deployment Data Terminal:
Craft Deployment Data Logs
Seedlings gain Electronics experience when crafting logs
Each Data Log can be consumed once, then disappears
Consumed logs count toward your Society’s total
The Deployment Data Terminal will only be available on the market for the duration of this challenge.
How Scoring Works
Each Society earns points based on the number of Deployment Data Logs consumed, scaled against their Society’s population. This ensures the challenge remains competitive for both large and small groups.
Points Formula: Total Data Logs Consumed ÷ Society Population = Final Score
Population is defined as the total number of registered members in a Society.
Examples:
Society A: 50 members, 200 Logs → 200 ÷ 50 = 4 points
Society B: 10 members, 35 Logs → 35 ÷ 10 = 3.5 points
This system allows smaller Societies to compete fairly, while larger Societies must mobilize their members to maintain an edge.
Rewards
Participation Reward - All participating Societies will receive The Book of Foundations 1, a lore publication (PDF) that unveils newly recovered data tied to the Deployment.
Challenge Rewards - The top-performing Societies will earn Foundations 1 Badges, marking their role in shaping the outcome of this pivotal directive.
Choose Your Side
Two types of Data Logs can be crafted:
Seed Industries Deployment Data Logs
Axiom Deployment Data Logs
Every Data Log consumed signals support for that side. The Society whose Seedlings consume the most Data Logs of a single faction will emerge victorious.
What Comes Next
The UNN warns that the release of this dataset may have irreversible consequences. A full publication of the stolen data is expected soon, promising insights about the nature of the Deployment itself.
